WARRANTY & REFUND POLICY

1. Manufacturer’s Warranty

LOCKRACK products supplied in New Zealand by Adventure Co Pty Ltd (“Adventure Co”, “we”, “us”) are covered by a two (2) year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of original retail purchase.

This warranty:

  • Applies to the original retail purchaser only
  • Is not transferable
  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship

2. What Is Covered

We will, at our discretion, repair or replace a product where:

  • The product failure resulted from a defect in materials or workmanship
  • The product was used in accordance with installation and usage instructions
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • The claim is made within two years of the original purchase date

3. What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Surface corrosion from lack of maintenance
  • Damage caused by misuse, overloading, or incorrect installation
  • Modification of the product
  • Accidental, negligent, or malicious damage
  • Failure to perform periodic cleaning and maintenance

Important:
The Double SUP model is not designed for transporting a single SUP. Damage resulting from incorrect application is not covered.

4. Maintenance Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, periodic maintenance is required.

We recommend:

  • Removing the unit several times per year
  • Cleaning all moving parts
  • Removing rubber components periodically and rinsing with fresh water
  • Ensuring the arms remain clean and free of debris

Failure to maintain the product appropriately may affect warranty coverage.

5. Consumer Rights (New Zealand)

If you are purchasing for personal, domestic or household use, your rights are protected under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Nothing in this Warranty limits or excludes your rights under that Act.

Where products fail to comply with consumer guarantees, we will meet our obligations under New Zealand law.

If you are purchasing for business purposes, and both parties agree, the Consumer Guarantees Act may be contracted out of in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • Repair, replacement, or refund (at our discretion) is your exclusive remedy under this warranty.
  • Our liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the product.

We are not liable for:

  • Damage to vehicles
  • Damage to transported goods
  • Loss of profits or consequential loss
  • Injury arising from incorrect installation or misuse

Nothing in this clause limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

7. Returns Policy

7.1 Change of Mind

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact us before purchasing.

7.2 Incorrect Item Ordered

If you have purchased the incorrect item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • The item must be unused and in original packaging
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs

We reserve the right to inspect returned goods before approving exchange.

7.3 Faulty or Defective Goods

If you believe your item is faulty:

  1. Email [Insert Email] with:
    • Order number
    • Description of the issue
    • Photos where possible
  2. We will assess the claim and advise next steps.

Goods must not be returned without prior authorisation.

7.4 Return Conditions

To be eligible for return (where applicable):

  • The item must be unused
  • In original packaging
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

We do not refund original shipping charges unless required by law.

Payment processing fees may be deducted where permitted by law.

8. Payment Policy

We accept:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay

Payment is processed once your order is confirmed.

If we cannot fulfil your order, a full refund will be issued.

Any credit card surcharge (if applicable) will be clearly disclosed prior to payment.
